Dedicates new facility to former UniFirst chairman, president, and CEO Ronald D. Croatti.
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (July 2018) – UniFirst Corporation (NYSE: UNF), a North American leader in providing customized work uniform programs, corporate attire, and facility service products, is hosting a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on Tuesday, July 10, to celebrate the opening of its new $8 million, 34,000-square-foot Corporate Support Services Center, located at 3067 East Commerce Street in San Antonio, Texas. The new center has created more than 100 new career opportunities in the area, with a target of employing over 200 new employee Team Partners by 2019. This number also includes employment opportunities at the UniFirst industrial laundry plant that is adjacent to the new facility.
The Corporate Support Services Center was created to centralize customer service operations and enhance sales support to better serve UniFirst’s growing customer base throughout North America.
According to the center’s general manager, Albert Hinojosa, the vision for the center came from UniFirst’s former chairman, president, and chief executive officer (CEO) Ronald D. Croatti, who passed away last year. “Ron’s goal was to design a facility that provided the best possible service to UniFirst customers throughout North America,” says Hinojosa. “We have certainly brought Ron’s vision to life and couldn’t be prouder of our new center that will focus on UniFirst customers on a daily basis for decades to come.”
Councilman Roberto Treviño will be representing San Antonio Mayor Ronald Nirenberg for the July 10th ribbon cutting and building dedication ceremony, and will provide welcoming remarks. In addition, members of the UniFirst executive team from the Wilmington, Mass., corporate office, along with representatives from the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, will speak at the event.
